We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Infection Prevention and Control department. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical advice and guidance to healthcare staff on infection prevention and control practices.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and infection control, with experience in developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare staff at all levels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures
- Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to healthcare staff on infection prevention and control practices
- Conduct audits and reviews of infection control practices
- Develop and deliver education and training programs on infection control
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection control strategies
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Postgraduate qualification in infection control or a related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in infection control or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with healthcare staff at all levels
