Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and direction to project teams, enhancing the technical skills of the electrical team through support and training.

In this role, you will be accountable for providing technical guidance on transmission and distribution projects, operating under the general guidance of the National Electrical Lead. You will also be responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering engineering, procurement; planning of construction, construction phase support, commissioning, and project closeout.

This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your extensive experience in the design and management of transmission and distribution projects in Australia, with a strong focus on leadership and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical leadership and direction to project teams
  • Enhancing the technical skills of the electrical team through support and training
  • Managing, coordinating, and administering engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Providing technical guidance on transmission and distribution projects
  • Liaising with stakeholders to ensure project delivery
  • Developing and implementing effective project management strategies

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in transmission and distribution sector
  • Extensive experience in relevant infrastructure project development and delivery
  • Subject Matter Expert in transmission & distribution
  • Leadership experience in leading and managing design and development teams
  • Chartered Professional Engineer accreditation highly regarded
