Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Gateway Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Hive. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network and security technologies, with a focus on gateway and ICT security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical expertise to projects and business areas, and leading the technical deliverables.
  • Undertaking a range of activities in support of the management and operation of the Department's secure Internet gateway, secure systems, data centre and network services.
  • Day to day monitoring and support of network and gateway systems including Data Centre technologies, SMTP email systems, SSL Gateways, Load Balancers, Proxy systems, Firewalls and IPS.
  • Undertaking enhancement and remediation activities across network and gateway systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a Network and Security Gateway Engineer.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to distil requirements from complex scenarios and processes, including develop new processes where required.
  • Demonstrated analytical background and experience in Agile methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing IT solutions for large, highly integrated government or similar scale private organisations (desired).
  • Knowledge of Cloud/Security/Automation technologies (desired).
  • A solid understanding of gateway and ICT security technologies (desired).
