CNC Laser Programming Expert

We are seeking an accomplished CNC laser programmer to join our team. This exciting role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement and professional growth.

About the Position:

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires expertise in profile cutting, sheet metal manufacturing, and best-in-class software packages. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and directing machine learning algorithms in efficient nesting of parts on raw materials.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CAD drawing interpretation, nesting, and tagging methodologies across various equipment. They will also possess excellent skills in modifying parts, achieving superior nesting results, and programming laser cutting programs.

Additional responsibilities include expanding skills in configuring and programming industrial automation systems, contributing to quality assurance processes, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret and optimize customer CAD drawings using best practice nesting and tagging methodologies.
  2. Modify parts and make adjustments where necessary using CAD functions available in CAM.
  3. Achieve superior nesting results by evaluating all parts scheduled for production to maximize material yield.
  4. Program, review, and remotely export laser cutting programs to TRUMPF CO2 and Fiber lasers.
  5. Expand skills in configuring and programming industrial automation systems.
  6. Contribute to quality assurance processes and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of CNC laser programming, profile cutting, and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Expertise in CAD drawing interpretation, nesting, and tagging methodologies.
  • Excellent skills in modifying parts, achieving superior nesting results, and programming laser cutting programs.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
