Director, Health Impact Evaluation Unit

The Health Impact Evaluation Unit is a new unit in the Australian Centre for Evaluation.

The centre's mission is to improve the volume, quality, and use of evaluations across the Australian Public Service.

  • Evaluation leadership and promotion, including through high-quality impact evaluations.
  • Championing innovative evaluation methodologies.
  • Overseeing efforts to improve evaluation capability across the government.

About the Role

As Director of the Health Impact Evaluation Unit, you will help establish and lead a small team responsible for delivering a 3-year agreement between the Department of Health and the centre.

You will work closely with department colleagues on:

  • the design and delivery of up to 3 impact evaluations;
  • technical reports or resources on evaluation synthesis and impact modelling.

You will manage the centre's relationship with stakeholders and join the leadership team in setting priorities and managing risks.
