About the Position:

We are seeking experienced craftsmen to join our team in creating high-quality furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examining drawings and specifications to determine wood requirements
  • Selecting and working with various types of wood, including timber, veneers and particle board
  • Marking out, cutting and shaping wood according to precise measurements
  • Assembling parts to form sections of furniture and completed articles
  • Fitting hardware, such as hinges, locks and catches
  • Making frames for chairs and couches using hand tools
  • Install handles, drawer pulls and other hardware using precision instruments
  • Dip or spray assembled articles with protective finishes, such as stain or varnish
  • Reinforce joints with nails or other fasteners to prepare articles for finishing

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A relevant qualification is required for this position. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of woodworking techniques and be able to work independently.
