Role Overview

Position Summary

A business academic leader is required to oversee the management of educational programs at a university. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of business courses, fostering academic innovation, operational management, and community engagement.

The individual in this role will work closely with academic staff to manage course timetabling, workload allocation, and staffing across various campus locations. They will also ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory directives concerning course offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-campus academic integration and innovation initiatives in business courses.
  • Collaborate with Academic Support staff to manage academic staffing, timetabling, and workload allocation across all campus locations.
  • Monitor compliance with institutional policies and TEQSA regulatory directives concerning course offerings.
  • Conduct performance reviews, professional development, and teaching quality assurance at the Perth campus.
  • Contribute to course reviews and manage accreditations with professional organisations.
  • Encourage a culture of scholarship within the School, mentoring academic staff in research and publication.
  • Support course promotion and student recruitment activities.
  • Represent the Business School in local forums, industry panels, and recruitment events.
  • Promote active engagement with local and national industries, government agencies, and professional bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctoral qualification or equivalent in a business-related discipline.
  • Demonstrated academic leadership experience at the department, faculty, or institutional level in an Australian university or private sector equivalent.
  • Strong record of achievement in teaching and research relevant to business education.
  • Knowledge of Australia's higher education regulatory framework.
