Job Description

**Job Title:** Charter Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Charter Coordinator. This is a full-time role based in Adelaide, reporting to the National Airports Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Safety Management:** Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
  • **Airport Operations:** Coordinate FBO movements and act as the primary contact for the Adelaide Fixed-Based Operation (FBO) and the NJE operation in SA.
  • **Freight Charter Management:** Oversee freight charter movements and coordinate airport handling activities.
  • **FBO Charter Process:** Manage the end-to-end FBO charter process, including acceptance, pricing, securing third-party contractor services, and coordination onsite for arrival and departing aircraft.
  • **Training and Development:** Assist with hands-on Ramp, Catering, and Customer Service training for Rex Group and third-party staff on a regular basis.
  • **Travel and Training:** Be willing to travel to Rex Group Outports to conduct Ramp and Customer Service training.
  • **Leading Hand and ASO Responsibilities:** Be proficient in all duties as a Leading Hand, ASO, Catering Officer, and Customer Service Officer.
  • **Liaison and Communication:** Liaise with other departments and suppliers to manage day-to-day matters, including GSE serviceability, performing GSE checks, sourcing, maintenance schedules, and testing.
  • **Recruitment and Safety Investigation:** Assist with interviewing and recruitment of new staff and, in concert with the Rex Group & QF Safety Department, investigate any safety-related or dangerous goods issues and implement corrective action or procedures.
  • **Record Keeping and Performance Analysis:** Maintain accurate records of all FBO, NJE, and Pel-Air activity for performance analysis and billing purposes.
  • **Operational Ramp and Customer Service:** Perform operational Ramp and Customer Service shift duties on a regular basis for the Rex Group.
  • **Administrative Support:** Provide administrative support to the Rex Group, including raising purchase orders, rostering, reviewing invoices, reviewing and maintaining stock levels, etc.
  • **Training and Development:** Assist with the development of training and perform on-the-job training of staff (in liaison with Airport Services Ground Training Manager).
  • **Relief and Maintenance:** Relieve the Ramp and Catering Manager and/or Airport Administration Assistant when required and coordinate and organize FBO building maintenance and oversee/maintain the NJE terminal facilities.
  • **Shift Work and Support:** The nature of this role means that shift work, after-hours, and weekend work will be required. Support the Ramp Manager and Airport Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • **Other Duties:** Other duties as reasonably requested.

  • **Airport Operations Knowledge:** Conversant with major airport operations and regularity requirements.
  • **Workload Management:** Proven ability to manage a high workload under pressure with changing priorities.

  • **Customer Service and Problem-Solving:** High standard customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • **Independence and Motivation:** Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • **Computer Literacy:** High degree of computer literacy.
  • **Security Clearance:** Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) and ADA (Authority to Drive Airside).
