Head Chef Opportunity in the Snowy Mountains

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our kitchen team at Horizons Lake Jindabyne. As a senior culinary leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple outlets, including Embers Restaurant and Bistro.

The Role:

  • Lead and motivate a dedicated kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and culinary expertise.
  • Manage conference and event catering, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee stock management, minimizing waste and optimizing cost control.
  • Create and manage kitchen rosters to ensure efficient workflow and staff utilization.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, think critically, and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, stock management, and kitchen operations.
