We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and annual reporting to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate monthly and annual reporting to key stakeholders, including the corporate office, local directors, and the ATO.
  • Complete and lodge the monthly BAS calculation, including analytical review for both Australia and New Zealand.
  • Calculate and prepare monthly Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) entries and process associated journals for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Complete and submit quarterly New Zealand FBT return to Inland Revenue.
  • Liaise directly with the local Mobility team to prepare intercompany invoices and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts for both Australia and New Zealand to determine funding requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant with month-end activities, including posting monthly journals (e.g., accruals, intercompany allocations) and completing associated balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare necessary reconciliations for year-end audit and address all financial accounting-related queries from auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Assist and support the Finance Manager with the preparation of tax entries.
Requirements
  • Strong Financial Accounting experience.
  • CA in progress or completed.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience in financial services/consulting.
  • Experience in a Big 4 environment.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, including strong working knowledge of DR's and CR's and IFRS.
