Position Overview

As a Store Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our operations across a network of over 1,200 supermarkets. Reporting directly to the Audit Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and ongoing enhancement of our operational audit program. Your work will involve conducting thorough in-store assessments and collaborating with local, regional, and state management teams.

This position is based in Perth, with the expectation of intrastate and interstate travel. A degree in a relevant field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and a keen interest in understanding business controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct operational audits to identify and evaluate key controls.
  • Communicate audit findings effectively in both written and verbal formats to various management levels.
  • Perform root cause analysis for any identified internal control failures.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing operational enhancements within the Internal Audit function.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on issues to confirm that agreed-upon actions have been executed.
  • Act as a representative during audit engagements, fostering positive relationships with management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to navigate ambiguous and evolving situations.
  • Proficient in working in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality and timeliness.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the capability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
  • Willingness to travel at least one week per month, both intrastate and interstate.
