Seek a senior midwifery role that offers opportunities for clinical leadership and advanced scope of practice. We are seeking skilled clinicians to join our maternity services as Clinical Midwife Specialists, utilising their qualifications in the full scope of midwifery settings.

Clinical Midwife Specialists require demonstrated leadership qualities and skills relevant to the SRN role. They must utilise the full scope of their qualifications in the midwifery setting and have the ability to prescribe and order diagnostics, while being appropriately remunerated for their advanced scope.

The positions available offer fixed-term and permanent roles at RN SRN 3 - $131,773 pro rata plus shift penalties. For caseload midwives, the new Midwifery Annualised Salary Agreement (MASA) commenced on June 30th, 2025, attracting an annualization loading of 40%.

Endorsed midwives will receive relevant qualification allowance of 3-5%, as well as an annual Endorsed Midwife allowance of $867.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans in consultation with patients and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Postgraduate degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Advanced clinical skills and experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
