**About the Role:**

We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who has worked in the native title sector and has experience managing at an executive level. The CEO will drive Theibr's success through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and strong governance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience working at an executive officer level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of the Native Title Act (1993) and its practical application.
  • Proven experience in working with and establishing relationships with Indigenous people and building trust in the community.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in developing and maintaining highly effective relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders.

**Key Duties:**

  • Reporting to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for ensuring Theibr maintains the appropriate office and business systems to meet our needs.
  • You will develop, enhance, and maintain essential organisational policies for approval by the Board of Directors and ensure implementation in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure Theibr meets all its Native Title and Governance reporting requirements as a Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC) and registered ORIC Corporation.
  • Engage and manage professional service advisors as required to assist Theibr in achieving its objectives.
  • Be accountable for the maintenance, both financial, governance, and operational, of agreements Theibr has entered into and ensure compliance.
  • Develop appropriate systems and pathways to empower and train Board members in sound corporate governance and leadership.
  • Work with and oversight of Theibr Subsidiaries such as Mirning Green Energy Limited (MGEL), relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and build organisational capacity utilising stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordination of Theibr sub-committees and the negotiation of agreements with proponents.
  • Establish and manage the timely and effective communication of information to Mirning community members.
  • Oversee the financial management of Theibr through working with administrative staff, professional service advisors, and the Board of Directors to ensure clarity of activity and appropriate use of funds.
  • Manage Theibr's human resource requirements, in particular the employees of Theibr.
  • Identify and coordinate the delivery of staff training, induction, and development, and promote training and development opportunities to members of Theibr where possible.
