We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environment Advisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and stakeholder engagement across a major infrastructure project.
To lead, plan, organise and control the environmental aspects of projects including the development, implementation and control of project environmental plans.
Key Accountabilities:- Demonstrate commitment to SHE Cultural Framework, Policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations.
- Maintain awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and commit to eliminate or minimise those risks.
- Understand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilities.
- Identify and implement initiatives that position the project as a leader in Environmental practices.
- Contribute to creating a climate that encourages innovation and receptivity to environmental initiatives.
- Exhibit daily personal behaviour that upholds LCPL values and contributes to team effectiveness.
- Persist with improvement ideas, building team member buy-in to ideas.
- Listen to team members' improvement ideas and provide informed opinions on their merit.
- Manage day-to-day liaisons with clients in respect of environmental management.
- Liaise with managers and subcontractor organisations as required.
- Obtain relevant approvals and licenses from relevant authorities and government.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies and processes.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to the field of operation of the position.
- At least 5 years construction experience in the related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, negotiation and relationship skills.
- Solid knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements.
- Proficiency in company software versions of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and email.
- Industry and/or project induction in accordance with legislation.
