Job Role: Head Gardener

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in Horticulture, leading a small team to maintain and enhance our properties.
  • Liaise with colleagues and clients to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform various garden maintenance tasks including hedging, mowing, edging, pruning, pest control, weed management, fertilizing, mulching, and soft landscaping works.
  • Identify and treat pests and diseases in both garden and turf areas.
  • Seasonal lawn care duties such as fertilising, mulching and top dressing.
  • Undertake soft landscaping works - planting, minor irrigation work, turf installation etc.

Essential Skills:

">
  • 3+ years of experience in Horticulture industry
  • Current unrestricted drivers license
  • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture an advantage
  • Experience operating and maintaining horticultural equipment of varying size
  • Leadership skills to motivate team members
  • Effective time management and communication skills
  • Desirable: experience with irrigation systems and current Chemcert
