Role Overview

As a Performance Insights Leader, you will take a holistic view to Personal Banking performance, linking external and internal factors impacting our outcomes.

You will assist in ensuring a clear cadence for performance reporting, planning, and forecasting, surfacing drivers of financial results and levers to enhance value.

The role involves driving discussions and providing insights to Finance and the Personal Banking business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to prepare annual financial expense plans and regular forecasts.
  • Review historical financial and non-financial data and assist in illustrating relationships between data sets using advanced analytics tools.
  • Review reporting and results across multiple Personal Bank businesses, analyse and write commentary for divisional reporting.
  • Review internal period-on-period analysis for consolidation of PB's half-year and full-year results.
  • Continuously improve above processes for robustness and resiliency, focusing on analysis and insight.
  • Drive and coordinate Risk and Financial Control uplifts within the Personal Bank Finance team.
  • Drive the Personal Bank transformation agenda by overseeing periodic service reviews, supporting opportunities for alignment/consolidation of work activity to deliver services more efficiently.

Requirements:

  • A strategic and open mindset with the ability to form hypotheses around different strategic choices that could be made to improve performance.
  • Data and business intelligence skills, including advanced Excel skills and exposure to PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of banking economics, business drivers, and performance levers.
  • Substantial years of professional experience in finance/accounting, financial services, corporate reporting, risk reporting, or data analytics.
  • Tertiary qualified (Commerce/Business/Economics, Science, Engineering) along with CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
