About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Psychologist to join our team as a Community Therapist. As a Community Therapist, you will be working with individuals and groups to provide therapeutic interventions and support to help them build confidence and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based vocational interventions to clients to support them in achieving employment and improving their overall well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to provide therapeutic services and support to clients.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date and accurate records aligned to AHPRA best practice standards.
  • Manage your own diary and referrals, and develop proposed treatment plans with clients to outline goals of service provision.
  • Provide evidence-based services in a safe and therapeutic manner, and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to support the program and the delivery of therapeutic care.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (Registered or Provisional) qualifications are required.
  • A thorough understanding of the theories relating to and the impact of trauma, abuse, and neglect on a person's development and well-being as well as carryover effects into adulthood.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Strengths-Based practices and Recovery Oriented models.
  • Excellent group facilitation skills and the ability to clearly articulate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Drug, Alcohol and other addictions.
  • An understanding of the employment services industry (desirable).
  • Current APHRA registration, or willingness and capability to obtain registration.
  • Current Driver's Licence (and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle).
