Job Title: Strategic Transport Modelling Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Transport Modelling Specialist to join our Project & Infrastructure Advisory team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will work on private and public infrastructure projects in the transport space, collaborating with our infrastructure team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of infrastructure projects, from policy and strategy development to planning, business case, and program/project management engagements. You will have the opportunity to work across the public and private sector, as well as with developers and precinct planners, to understand forecasting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop studies to assess current and future traffic patterns, travel behaviour, and system performance
  • Utilise advanced modelling software to simulate and analyse transportation and land use scenarios
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation models into broader urban planning efforts and economic analysis
  • Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights for infrastructure improvements and policy recommendations
  • Prepare reports and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, engineering, economics, or other quantitative degrees
  • Experience in the use of government models used in Queensland and NSW
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Previous experience in Strategic Transport Modelling for government and/or the private sector
  • Well-developed report writing, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
