Job Title: Network Communication Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Communication Specialist to join our team in delivering world-class public transport services and solutions. This exciting opportunity will involve driving asset performance improvement by implementing reliability and maintenance engineering principles, providing support to the maintenance crew on breakdowns, and championing root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA, and system analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement reliability and maintenance engineering principles to drive asset performance improvement
  • Provide support to the maintenance crew on breakdowns and champion root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA, and system analysis
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for new MPLS and LTE networks to support future advanced rail operations such as High-Capacity Signalling systems
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems, Customer Information Systems and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment
  • Proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and asset management strategy and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation
