We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our Merchandise team at PETstock Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering customer-focused ranging and promotions to maintain differentiation.
Key Responsibilities- Curate, source, and select products in line with category plans, company vision, and merchandise plans, including creating new and exclusive ranges.
- Coordinate ranges and stories within and across categories.
- Execute timely range reviews to deliver improved commercial results.
- Forward plan, negotiate, and confirm 12-month promotional plans.
- Improve supplier delivery performance management in collaboration with the Planning and Supply team.
- Negotiate exclusives and first-to-market opportunities, while maintaining current trading terms.
- Implement category business plans to achieve budgeted KPIs.
- Track and analyze category data, including weekly performance against category KPIs.
- Manage end-to-end product, including overseeing product setup and maintenance.
- Support stores with timely communication to inform and enable them to execute on time and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Develop and coach direct reports through performance and development plans, training, and technical skills transfer.
We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a tertiary qualification. You should have excellent analytical skills to draw insights from customer data and present creative solutions.
You will also have demonstrated experience in category management, overseas importing, and product development, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence multiple stakeholders.
