The Challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Finance Specialist to join our renowned Real Estate Finance practice, consistently ranked Band 1 by Chambers. This team sits within the Firm's Global Loans practice, handling sophisticated real estate finance transactions, including high-value bilateral and syndicated investment facilities, complex development, construction, and acquisition financings with multi-jurisdictional or bespoke structuring elements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead transactions end-to-end, drafting and negotiating facility, security, and intercreditor documentation.
  • Manage and mentor talented junior lawyers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Drive matter strategy and liaise directly with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and financiers to deliver exceptional results.
  • Nurture key client relationships and contribute to thought leadership initiatives, enhancing our reputation and expertise in the field.
  • Support the growth of the team through business development, training, and knowledge-sharing, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in loan markets gained within a top-tier firm, respected mid-tier firm, or in-house, with expertise in real estate finance, including acquisition and development finance.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating finance documents in real estate financing transactions, including facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and side deeds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and superior analytical and drafting skills are essential for success in this role.
