Project Officer Job

The Claims and Payments Branch plays a crucial role in strategic planning and implementation of transformation initiatives to increase payments and claims quality, efficiency, controls, correctness and outcomes in support of the corporate plan.

The team reviews and evaluates current claims and payments processes and controls, determining and implementing improvement. It also ensures claims and payments processes are optimally included in the base platform build of new CRM software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing detailed work plans that define and coordinate the ongoing work program and change and transformation agenda across various portfolios of the branch.
  • Undertaking research and analysis activities for development of key projects within the branch.
  • Communicating timely advice for status updates and issues affecting projects.
  • Providing advice and support to stakeholders in relation to agency policies, procedures, systems and documentation.
  • Supporting the development of project management methodologies and processes.
  • Developing accessible metrics, reporting and performance indicators.
  • Contributing to the development and ongoing review of policies procedures and guidelines documents.
  • Identifying process improvements.

Key skills include excellent communication skills, ability to translate complex information into clear reports, and data and system analysis to gather evidence-based information.
