Lead Care Team Member

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a key leadership position within our care team in Glen Innes.

About the Role

  • To provide high quality care to residents, you will need to advise and assist other care staff to deliver tailored care.
  • Supervising and supporting other care employees is also crucial to the success of this role.
  • Building strong partnerships with residents, respecting their dignity and focusing on health and wellbeing is essential for delivering effective care.
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to coordinate and deliver care is vital for achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Providing complex clinical care including wound dressing, medication administration, condition assessments and referrals is a key responsibility of this position.
  • Entering reports and observations into the iCare computer program is also a critical task.
  • Maintaining and evaluating care plans to meet changing resident needs is an ongoing requirement.

Requirements

  • A registered nurse with AHPRA registration.
  • Previous experience in aged care, preferably with at least 2 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and working knowledge of iCare would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles, is required.
  • Knowledge of aged care legislation, accreditation and ANACC would be highly regarded.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is necessary.
  • A valid police check clearance is also required.
  • The ability to work in Australia is mandatory.
