Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of monthly management and quarterly reports, providing insightful financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of journals, including accruals for payroll, leave provisions, commission calculations, and rebate accruals.
  • Review and analysis of accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation, interest, and obsolete inventory to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Effective end-of-month close process to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Preparation of the annual statutory audit work paper pack, liaison with auditors, and preparation of the group for external audit.
  • Preparation and submission of compliance returns, including PAYG, BAS, GST, and Payroll tax.
  • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements for Australia and New Zealand businesses.
  • Overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to ensure efficient and accurate financial management.
  • Management and maintenance of fixed asset registers and work-in-progress reports.
  • Contribution to the preparation of annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports, including KPIs, and various AP, AR, and performance reports for senior management and the global Board.
The Successful Applicant
  • CA/CPA qualification and degree in accounting and/or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Extensive technical and practical experience in relevant areas of accounting.
  • Excellent advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in team management is preferred.
