Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled video journalist to join our dynamic team in Perth, Western Australia.

As a senior journalist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality content for our news bulletins. You will be responsible for researching and developing story ideas, interviewing and writing compelling features, and producing engaging on-air presentations.

  • Developing original daily story ideas for on-air and online presentations
  • Interviewing, writing and voicing skills
  • Live broadcasting
  • Maintaining professional contacts in the community
  • Research and preparing news reports, whether in the field or in the office
  • Finding and writing feature stories in specific categories
About the Role/Qualifications
  • Confident performer on camera with excellent news gathering, writing, interviewing and presenting skills
  • Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines
  • Experience with video journalism and editing software
  • Proven track record of writing compelling stories
  • Valid Australian driving license
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Understanding of broadcast law guidelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
