
Patient Finance Specialist

The role of a Patient Finance Specialist is to ensure timely follow-up of claims for services provided at our healthcare facilities. This includes following up on unpaid accounts with patients, Medicare, DVA, TAC, and WorkCover, as well as investigating and resolving Medicare rejections.
This is an ongoing part-time role working 30 hours per week. You will be based in Malvern with flexible hybrid work options. Cabrini benefits include salary packaging, superannuation, annual leave loading, flexibility, and staff benefits such as retail offers and discounted hospital services.
About the Role:- Following up on unpaid accounts with patients, Medicare, DVA, TAC, and WorkCover
- Investigating and resolving Medicare rejections
- Supporting the wider team by learning additional roles to provide cover when needed
- Maintaining strong connections between the Patient Accounts team and other departments
- You are a people-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service
- Experienced in accounts receivable, ideally within a private healthcare, medical, or health insurance setting
- Confident with medical claiming processes and collections
- Familiar with systems such as WebPas and Pracsoft
- Meticulous when it comes to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
