Mechanical Project Coordinator Role

Embark on a challenging career path as a Mechanical Project Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of mechanical fabrication and fitting projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely completion and effective management of resources.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define customer requirements, develop scope of work, and conduct design reviews.
  • Prepare technical specifications and tender documents to engage contractors for pre-work, shut work, and commissioning tasks.
  • Evaluate and document project deliverables, including drawings, manuals, data sheets, part lists, and cataloguing information.
  • Provide technical support during project handover, commissioning, and post-commissioning phases.
  • Supervise maintenance and installation activities, adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
About You:
  • You possess experience in site supervision and industrial project management within a similar environment.
  • You are willing to develop your skills further to meet the role's demands.
  • You hold a background in fabrication or mechanical fitting, preferably through a trade qualification, diploma, or degree.
  • You have an understanding or experience in interpreting structural fabrication drawings and welding processes.
  • You can influence peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands.
  • You have experience in plant process, equipment problem-solving, and reliability improvement.
  • You have exposure to document control and reporting processes.
