Senior Power Engineer Opportunity

The position of Senior Mechanical Power Engineer is a critical role in our project mechanical team. This individual will be responsible for leading the team, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and providing mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner's engineer projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in power generation design. A minimum of 15 years of experience in this field is required, along with expertise in gas turbine, steam turbine, and/or large reciprocating engine systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project mechanical team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project execution
  • Provide mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner's engineer projects
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design
  • Gas turbine, steam turbine and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise
  • Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation
  • Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm is desired
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred but not mandatory:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience, ideally in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner's engineer projects
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Willingness to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs
