Warehouse Stock Handler Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Stock Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt and dispatch of stock, handling deliveries between sites, organizing transport, and liaising with internal and external customers.

About the Role:

As a Warehouse Stock Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient stock management. This includes checking and putting away stock orders, maintaining an accurate and clean warehouse, and complying with all health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receiving and processing stock deliveries
  • Efficiently storing and retrieving stock as required
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and undertaking regular stocktakes and cycle counts
  • Interpreting parts requests from the workshop and coordinating delivery of parts to the workshop
  • Transferring parts back from the workshop and locating them when no longer needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in warehousing or related field
  • Professional phone manner and excellent communication skills
  • Good level of computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Mechanically minded and/or an interest in heavy machinery an advantage
  • Positive, friendly, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Forklift license or ability to obtain one
  • Driver's license
  • Physically fit, with ability to undertake heavy lifting
  • Full working rights in Australia
