Plumber and Maintenance Professional Wanted

Join our team of skilled tradespeople to work in the Bowen Basin, supporting the maintenance of residential and operational facilities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience in plumbing, drainage, and gas fitting. As a key member of our Asset & Facilities Maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine and reactive maintenance tasks across multiple villages on a 7:7 roster.

The ideal candidate will have relevant trade qualifications, a valid Queensland driver's license, and excellent communication skills. Experience working in remote locations and a strong focus on safety are also essential.

About the Role

As a Plumber and Maintenance Professional, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. This will involve:

  • Maintenance of residential units and shared facilities;
  • Repair and replacement of plumbing, drainage, and gas fittings as needed;
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems;
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve complex maintenance issues;
  • Providing exceptional customer service to residents and staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • QLD licensed plumber, drainer, and gas fitter endorsements (thermostatic mixing valves, solar and heat pump hot water systems, and backflow prevention desirable);
  • Licensed drainer for on-site sewerage facilities;
  • Licensed water plumber for fire protection (hydrants, hose reels);
  • Class C manual driver's license;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in plumbing, maintenance, or a related field;
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical check;
  • National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one);
  • Proof of working rights in Australia;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
