Job Title:

A senior environmental professional is sought to lead our Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team based in Brisbane. The role has a strong focus on the Resources sector and Environmental legislation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have circa 15 years' experience in consulting, government or industry, with expertise in Resource Approvals, EIA and Environmental law. You will enjoy undertaking project work while mentoring team members and developing client relationships throughout the region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing advice on best practice EIA and Environmental management principles to clients and internal team members
  • Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with clients and internal team members, particularly across technical disciplines
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of business plans and strategies
  • Working closely with team leads to drive growth
  • Conducting thorough technical reviews and mentoring junior staff
  • Delivering clear and precise reports
Requirements:
  • Strong degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in EIA and state/commonwealth approvals
  • Experience in Mining/Resources sector
  • Proven track record in resources sector and ability to win work through business development
  • Demonstrated experience directing and managing projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state and Commonwealth Environmental legislation and policies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia
