Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Specialist to join our national team of 3,500 bright minds designing, developing, and innovating the retail stores of the future. As a key member of our facilities management team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and support across various store locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, identifying issues, and servicing equipment in-store, ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
  • Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance works according to planned schedules, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Manage associated paperwork and reporting, providing accurate insights into store performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain replacement spare part inventory and recommend capital works to reduce operational costs, optimizing resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.
  • Collaborate closely with facilities management, support, and technical teams, as well as store teams and the call support centre team, to ensure seamless communication and effective issue resolution.
  • Work with construction teams, including informing engineers, planning for replacements, and assisting in prioritizing capital works, to ensure efficient project delivery and minimize disruptions.

Requirements

  • Hold trade qualifications in Refrigeration and relevant industry certifications, such as QBCC Occupational Mechanical Services - Air Con & Refrig (Limited Design), QBCC Occupational Mechanical Services - Plumbing, Arctic licence, Gas Work (Hydrocarbon) Licence, and Energy Safe Restricted Electrical Worker's licence.
  • Demonstrate solid post-apprenticeship experience within the commercial refrigeration service and installation industry, showcasing a strong understanding of C02 systems, Emerson & RDM controls, and other relevant technologies.
  • Show flexibility in working overtime, traveling to various sites, and being on-call as required, adhering to a shared roster system.
  • Possess good computer literacy and adaptability in navigating digital tools and platforms.
