Senior Procurement Expert

Our organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Expert to drive procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement function, promoting growth, compliance, and quality.
  • Optimise ERP systems through strategic vision and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and manage contracts, ensuring strong safeguards for our interests.
  • Build rich relationships with suppliers, ensuring an efficient procurement cycle.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to align procurement with overall business goals.
  • Oversee procurement budgets, ensuring every dollar spent supports our success.
  • Lead projects that meet and anticipate market shifts, keeping us ahead of the curve.
  • Ensure all procurement decisions align with core values and quality benchmarks.
  • Balance customer needs with internal requirements, ensuring procurement strategies meet customer expectations and business goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in procurement within a relevant industry, backed by a proven track record of strategic procurement success.
  • Superior skills in contract negotiation, ERP systems, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Natural leadership, ready to mentor and inspire a team towards excellence.
  • Problem-solving mindset with sharp analytical skills to navigate complex procurement landscapes.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and suppliers alike.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification; additional certifications in supply chain or procurement management are a plus.
