Clinical Leader in IBD Care

We are seeking an experienced clinician to lead our IBD team at Flinders Medical Centre.
About the Role:
- Conduct rapid access IBD clinics weekly, working collaboratively with consultants and nursing staff.
- Independently manage PBS clinics for stable IBD patients, consulting as needed with a consultant.
- Provide advice and generate management plans for IBD patient hotline inquiries.
- Coordinate bi-weekly IBD multidisciplinary team meetings and follow up on management plans in conjunction with registrars.
- Review inpatients with IBD as necessary, collaborating with consultants and on-call teams.
- Participate in teaching and research activities within the IBD and broader gastroenterology unit.
- Attend IBD team meetings monthly and contribute actively to discussions.
About You:
- You hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and have full registration with the Medical Board of South Australia.
- You are registered in your final year of training or have completed the physician training program (Advanced Training Program for Gastroenterology and Hepatology).
- You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively engage with colleagues, other professionals, and patients, demonstrating proficiency in written and spoken English.
- You have completed at least two core years of advanced training and have experience providing clinical services at a level commensurate with final-year gastroenterology and hepatology training.
- You have expertise in caring for IBD patients, including safe medication use and monitoring.
- You have experience in IBD research.
