About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Kookaburra, Cancer Care Ward. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with cancer, as well as supporting their families through this challenging time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective care to children and young people with cancer
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Recent acute nursing experience, with a focus on paediatric oncology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
