Line Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Line Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing food to exact specifications and standards while setting up stations for the menu.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced, high-volume venue and possess excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work well under pressure, maintain a positive and professional approach, and execute tasks with accuracy and speed.

This role involves setting up and stocking stations, guiding junior chefs, and maintaining a solid understanding of all sections in the kitchen. You will work under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to company standards in quality, service, presentation, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Lead the training of junior chefs and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement.
  • Facilitate positive communication between FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff are trained and working in accordance with Moonlight's Food Safety program.
