About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Tait Asia Pacific Team based in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the lifecycle phases of complex communication solutions, from concept and development to production, deployment, and support.

Your key functions will include:

  • Participating in the Agreement Process by providing input to the presales function
  • Participating in the Technical Management process by providing input to project planning and control, and performing risk management
  • Providing significant input to the Technical Process, as detailed in the Position Description
  • Providing required input to the Technical Support function
  • Requirement analysis and requirement management
  • System design, including all elements of integrated communications solutions
  • Documentation
  • System deployment and commissioning
  • Verification and validation

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to enable effective management of all stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and the ability to grasp complexity
  • Ability to understand uncertainty and risk in the System and Project context, and be able to deal with that
  • Excellent analytical skills to enable participation in different lifecycles of complex, integrated communication solutions

Requirements

You will be an experienced engineer with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in Systems Engineering. You are registered with Engineers Australia, or qualified for registration, at the Professional Engineer grade in the areas of Telecommunications, Electronics, or Systems Engineering. Your prior experience in dealing with integrated communications solutions, specifically in radio communications, will be beneficial in this role.
