Training Officer - Maintenance Workforce

The Training Officer - Maintenance Workforce will be responsible for designing, delivering, and coordinating training programs to ensure the maintenance workforce maintains high performance, safety, and compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver maintenance-related training, ensuring all training completions, attendance, assessments, and records are securely maintained.
  • Consult with stakeholders, including asset maintenance managers, support office staff, and training organisations, to identify training needs and facilitate required training.
  • Monitor and evaluate external training to ensure desired quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Design, implement, and coordinate an apprentice training program, including TAFE training, workshop supervised training, and product training with continuous monitoring and review.
Requirements:
  • Hold an industry recognised mechanical qualification, preferably in Heavy Vehicle.
  • Strong knowledge of training principles and adult learning techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Leadership capability, experience, and demonstrated capacity to coach others.
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, extensive relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or adult education/training.
