Job Role:

Compounder & Pre-Weigher

We are seeking a skilled Compounder and Pre-Weigher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing batches following production plans, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is followed and work is conducted within a safe and clean environment.

  1. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by cleaning the entire area on a routine basis or during available time during batch manufacture.
  2. Clean and sanitize all manufacturing vessels, bulk containers, and associated equipment before use as required.
  3. Clear the manufacturing area of previous batches before starting a new job, ensuring all pre-weighing buckets are washed and cleaned.

The Compounder role involves mixing and blending batches following details from work instructions, checking each raw material container for weight and correct item, initialling against each raw material when adding to manufacturing vessel, and providing samples of batch bulk to laboratory for testing and advising laboratory staff.

In addition, the Compounder will pump approved batches into suitable containers, perform other duties as requested by management, and assist in buddy training of other employees as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Forklift experience and license are required for the Pre-Weigher role.
  2. Wear appropriate safety equipment when handling hazardous raw materials and ensure work is carried out in a safe environment at all times.
  3. Report any spills for appropriate clean up and loss recorded on worksheet and reported to logistics department.

The Pre-Weigher will ensure the pre-weigh area is clean, retrieve materials from warehouse, dispense raw material according to production order, record lot numbers, and initial the production order that raw material has been dispensed.

Assisting warehouse staff with receiving and dispatch of goods, performing other duties as requested by management, related to the above duties, and participating in induction training, general OHS legislative awareness, and other specified trainings are also part of the Pre-Weigher role.
