Claims and Injury Management Advisor Role

Deliver excellent care to team members in their return-to-work journey following injury, while maintaining a strong focus on recovery at work, cost control, and compliance with legislative obligations.

About the Position:

  • Develop and implement effective injury management plans that address risk factors to recovery.
  • Liaise with treatment providers, including allied health professionals, specialists, and nominated treating doctors.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Prepare written correspondence related to claims management in accordance with NSW legislation.
  • Determine pre-injury average weekly earnings and ensure accurate payment of entitlements.
  • Provide coaching and advice to site managers on early intervention and managing return-to-work processes.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Participate in claim reviews and strategy sessions with the business.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in managing NSW workers' compensation claims.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for effective claims and injury management.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and technical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in reviewing and approving medical services and treatment requests.
  • Effective liaison with treatment providers.
  • Experience working in a self-insurance environment is preferred.
  • Relevant qualification in an Allied Health discipline would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • A strong commitment to meeting expectations.
