About this Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and mechanically-minded individual to join our team as a Mechanical Trades Assistant. This role offers the chance to work on various projects, including fit out of new mine spec water carts, assembly of pumps, pneumatic circuits and hydraulics on trucks, and operating tools, equipment and various machines.

  • Fitting out new mine spec water carts, tippers and trailers;
  • Assembling pumps, pneumatic circuits and hydraulics on trucks;
  • Operating tools, equipment and various machines;
  • Operating forklifts.

Key Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and willing to learn;
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team;
  • Strong initiative, good presentation and ability to follow build sheets required;
  • Must have a strong focus on quality and attention to detail;
  • Hold a valid forklift licence;
  • Knowledge of small hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable but not essential;
  • Must have a clean drivers licence with HR preferred.

This is a workshop-based role, working 9-10 hour days, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday morning work available weekly.
