Job Title: Aboriginal Cultural Arts Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Aboriginal Cultural Arts Educator to join our team at TAFE NSW. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational programs and facilitating learning for our students.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) position located at our Wagga Wagga Campus. You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in Aboriginal Cultural Arts, leading collaborative community art projects, and creating a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver educational programs and facilitate learning for students in Aboriginal Cultural Arts
  • Lead collaborative community art projects and create a portfolio of work for students
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and the community
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them achieve their desired outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Aboriginality and a strong connection to Aboriginal culture and communitiesAppropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts or a related fieldCurrent arts practice and active participation in the Arts industry in the last three yearsEvidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and TrainingA minimum of three years post-qualification experience relevant to your industryWhat We Offer
