Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ability Action Australia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide therapeutic services to support their independence and well-being.
  • Assess clients' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
  • Recommend the provision of Assistive Technology to assist clients with their functional limitations and promote independence.
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
