About the Role
The People and Culture Business Partner (PCBP) is a key role within our organization, responsible for enabling effective workforce management in partnership with stakeholders across McLean Care.
This strategic position requires strong industrial relations experience, ideally in a regulated sector, and contemporary knowledge of employment legislation. Reporting to the People Relations Manager, you will support Employee Relations activities, including ER advice, Award & Legislation interpretation, workplace investigations, performance and conduct issues, and employee life cycle navigation for managers and employees.
As a PCBP, you will build influential relationships with business leaders, providing coaching and development in people management knowledge and skills. You will contribute to the development of P&C best practice solutions, systems, and processes, driving continuous improvement in our collective success.
You will also develop maturity in our P&C activities, risk assessment, IR framework, and business partnering model. This dynamic role involves collaborating with a diverse team on various projects, systems, processes, and people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Employee Relations activities, including ER advice, Award & Legislation interpretation, workplace investigations, performance and conduct issues, and employee life cycle navigation for managers and employees.
- Building influential relationships with business leaders, providing coaching and development in people management knowledge and skills.
- Contributing to the development of P&C best practice solutions, systems, and processes, driving continuous improvement in our collective success.
- Developing maturity in our P&C activities, risk assessment, IR framework, and business partnering model.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in People & Culture Advisor or People & Culture Business Partner roles.
- Tertiary studies in Human Resources/Industrial Relations/Psychology or other related disciplines.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to dissect complex matters, and provide sound advice.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in report writing.
- Demonstrated experience in workplace investigations, grievance resolution, and employee relation matters.
- A natural team player, you will thrive in a connected and collaborative team.
- Strong computer literacy skills, savvy with technology, and comfortable with learning new systems.
