Diagnostic Imaging Professional

The role of Medical Imaging Technologist at Apex Radiology involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging in line with protocols, standards, and timeframes. This includes collaborating with radiologists during procedures and maintaining sterile techniques.

A successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in medical imaging and be registered with AHPRA and a professional member with AIR. Additionally, they should hold a valid radiation use licence and have experience with RIS/PACS systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities such as X-ray, CT, and ultrasound.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate and effective imaging results.
  • Maintain accurate patient and service data entry using RIS/PACS systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical emergencies, infection control, and patient care practices.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and communication skills.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in medical imaging or equivalent.
  • Current registration with AHPRA and professional membership with AIR.
  • Valid radiation use licence.
  • Experience with RIS/PACS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
