Job Title: Senior Team Coordinator

The Family Preservation Service is dedicated to providing compassionate, targeted intervention services to families with at least one child or young person under eighteen at home. Our goal is to nurture loving, functional families where children are protected from harm and experience improved wellbeing.

We strive to achieve this by delivering flexible, client-focused, needs-driven service through collaborative relationships with case managers and families.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient delivery of services to clients and achievement of service outcomes by providing comprehensive support to staff and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Support: Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to case managers on best practice and programme requirements.
  • Program Governance: Oversee the implementation of funding guidelines and meet all reporting requirements for the program.
  • Casework: Assist case managers in engaging families timely using Structured Decision-Making tool and coordinate compliance with program guidelines in case management practices.
  • Development and Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the program, including projects aimed at improving practice and outcomes.
Requirements for Success:
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in human services, particularly in child protection.
  • Skilled in complex casework, including individual and group work, with a strengths-based approach.
  • Ability to mentor and support case managers with assessment and interventions, effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and interagency contexts.
  • Expertise in trauma-informed care and strong analytical skills for risk assessment and management.
