Job Description

Role Overview

The Australian Defence Force is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Officer to join our team. As a Transport Officer, you will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation operations within the Army.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and operate Army-owned surface and riverine transport, excluding unit transport
  • Provide movement control, terminal, postal, and Army aspects of air logistics support
  • Deliver Army petrol, oils, food, equipment, and ammunition
  • Coordinate the use of land, sea, and air transport to meet Army and Defence requirements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • High standards of leadership and command
  • Thorough knowledge of logistics, tactics, and transport operations
  • Ability to quickly analyze complex and changing situations
  • Detailed knowledge of Transport Officers' vehicles and equipment

Career Progression
