Job Title

Senior Commercial/Regulatory Analyst

The Prudentials team within AEMO is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join their ranks as a Senior Commercial/Regulatory Analyst. This role will be responsible for consulting with internal and external stakeholders to influence process design and deliver operational tools that enhance the efficiency of the Prudentials function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to inform process design and delivery of operational tools
  • Reporting writing and support for regulatory submissions and market consultation
  • Representing/presenting AEMO positions at industry forums
  • Ensuring internal operational processes are aligned and executed in accordance with market rules and daily/weekly/monthly production cycles
  • Contributing to the delivery of industry reform projects through interpretation of market rules and subsequent design and development of systems and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires a minimum degree qualification in a relevant discipline (economics, commerce, finance or information systems) and strong related work experience in the Energy industry, particularly in commercial/regulatory/legal areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong written interpretation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to draw and articulate conclusions from a range of data and rule inputs.
