About the Role

Shire Christian School is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to fill the position of Head of Secondary School. This is a full-time role that will commence in 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, support, and leadership across all areas within the Secondary School.
  • Nurture a positive learning culture that is academically rigorous, authentically Christian, and encompasses a holistic view of student wellbeing and learning.
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the Secondary School, ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place to support teaching, learning, operations, pastoral care, and events.
  • Identify and manage change, and work collaboratively with the Senior Executive team to facilitate and foster a positive learning climate for staff and students across the whole School.
  • Design and implement proactive pastoral care programs that assist all students to grow in their understanding of God's Word.
  • Establish positive relationships with parents and carers of the School and work with them for the benefit of students and the School.

Requirements

  • A committed Christian, actively involved in a church community with a clear understanding of reformed evangelical theology.
  • An outstanding teacher and leader able to inspire and grow students and staff.
  • Able to demonstrate the capacity to identify and manage change.
  • Committed to working collaboratively with the Senior Executive team.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing proactive pastoral care programs.
  • Able to establish positive relationships with parents and carers.
