We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our global network operates with regulatory confidence.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our compliance capabilities and protect a truly global network. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant authorities, locating and deploying compliance frameworks into Australia, and applying existing frameworks to all stages of the business relationship.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to ASIC and AUSTRAC in accordance with law and regulation
  • Locate and deploy into Australia Thunes' Group Compliance frameworks
  • Apply existing frameworks to all stages of the business relationship (onboarding, ongoing monitoring, reporting)
  • Identify, assess, track, and escalate risks throughout Thunes' business

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in Compliance in a financial institution, preferably in banking or payments in Australia
  • Deep knowledge of the Australian payment services regulation as well as the AML/TF local framework
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management Law, or other relevant areas
  • Expertise in compliance areas within a financially regulated company including AML/TF, Risk & Permanent Control, Governance

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to satisfy ASIC's requirements for organisational competence
  • Knowledge of operational deployment of a compliance programme
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
